Steve on SentinalWelcome to Techdiver Training. This is the place to find out about a full-range of high-quality, personalized dive instruction in both open-circuit and closed-circuit scuba for all levels of recreational divers: sport and tech.

I am Steve Lewis and my diving and teaching skills are based on more than 20 years experience working, playing and teaching in mixed gas and overhead diving environments across North America and around the world.

I specialize in training for deep staged decompression dives for wreck and cave divers, but also teach programs that help beginning divers improve their skillsets to become more confident and comfortable in the water. Techdiver Training courses put special emphasis on concise, accurate dive planning. and on helping students to develop the presence of mind to respond decisively to in-water contingencies, allowing them to extend their diving frontiers.

The focus is on proven techniques, a strong grounding in diving theory, and clean, simple equipment configuration regardless of whether the kit is open-cicuit sidemount gear set-up for wreck penetration or rebreather diving to 100 metres and beyond. The over-arching goal is to develop safe and efficient divers with the right attitude towards self-awareness and team-oriented diving.

I have used TDI's training curriculum to develop a program that will appeal to you and which will suit your individual requirements. Bottom line is this: I can point you in the right direction, but earning a certification that is going to be of value to you is entirely in your court.
